Oh hey and in my spaceyness I created the word spaceyness and realized it was actually spelled spaciness and then remembered it was September 11th. Most people have vivid stories from that day. I do not. I believe I spent the entire night before staying up and finish a homework project for my sixth grade English class...a class where I had to make up journal entries for my whole summer. So while chaos was ensuing and every single teacher was avoiding telling the students anything, I may have been face down on my desk taking a little snoozer. After of course, was shocking. Still didn't know what was going on until I sat down and watched the news with my parents and my uncle. Afterwards, however, my dad would get funny looks in our predominately white home town since he had black hair and a mustache. My dad is Ecuadorian and is quite possibly the gentlest soul on the planet...with the exception of his awful backseat driving habit.
I felt bad not posting anything about this day ten years ago on my blog, the day of its inception. It's not a good starting point and I definitely won't be discussing politics, the world economy, peace/war in the middle east or transportation security administration. However I might discuss my love of gyros and tzatziki sauce.
