I pay a lot of money for tuition, so in my eyes, any chance I get, I will scour the free giveaway tents of food and trinkets that my college is always hosting. For instance, today I scored a free chapstick, two cups from a campus women's organization, cotton candy, a banana, a bag of chips, a luke-warm diet lemon lime soda, a rape whistle AND a kiss from the cutest little puppy ever.
This greatly brightened my day specifically because on my way to said expensive school, I was crossing the street at the crosswalk and one lovely lady stopped to let me by while the next lane over a car nearly ran me down. Being from the hood (NOT) I pointed at the crosswalk sign to which I got a loud beep and a "have a nice day!" from the idiot driving. Smartly I respond "you too asshole! :)" with a sincere smile and wave.
I probably could have just ignored them. But you gotta stick to your guns.
Shit there goes my weekly goal of being nice to people though...
